Explosions

About Love and Hate, Angry and Happiness

The Explosion series consists on throwing acrylic colors on canvas inspired by the ways of Pollock. But Aline created her own way of working with the colors, often using no brushes and applying the colors directly from the tube. This technique is often mixed with imprints of her hands and sometimes figures are created with this abstracts dots, lines and expressive elements. The point is to express the humors and feelings hidden on human unconscious that can’t be shown by the civilized contemporary men. This way, the observer can feel and maybe liberate himself through the contemplation of this series deeply inspired by the writings of Freud and Jung. Themes such as love and hate, angry and happiness, melancholy and time, life and death appear in many of these series paintings.
